How do you take care of your skin?

I use a line of products from Mary Kay called Time Wise. Its a scrub I use every few days and a daily face wash and a day and night solution along with a good moisturizer. I live in a dry climate and have very dry skin. It seems to help keep my skin nice. And when I lived in the south with the humidity, it also worked great...helped stop breakouts!

As for makeup, I use Bare Minerals. Great line of makeup. Doesn't clog my pores or dry my skin or make it oily. The two combined seem to work great for me.

you are a complex organism with many biochemical processes.

so taking care of your skin is not so easy. it takes a little bit of this and a little bit of that.

first thing you need to know is that you may respond differently to treatments than others.

so the best thing is to be sensitive and evaluate your OWN responses.

some people's skin might do well if cleansed regularly and other people's skin might not like it and as a response produce more oil or inflammation causing acne.

first try cleansing and moisturizing- the usual stuff. if that doesn't work, try cleansing less. play around with amounts and exposure times to the Products you are using. also try different products. change brands as you will become resistant. pay care full attention to the timing and the order of the stuff you are doing. for example; brush you teeth before you wash your face. after you have washed your face don't let it dry out too much before you moisturize. some people's skin might prefer to dry out. see what works for you. also play around with your diet. stay away from simple sugars (the sweet stuff) as they temporarily incapacitate your immune system making you vulnerable to bacteria. drink more water to keep your body's ph 5.5 or higher. oily skin loves acid and it makes it worse. when you feel hot and ';acidic'; drink some clean water, but don't drown yourself - losing electrolytes. try breathing well. try exercise as it could help unclog pores. other people's pores might clog from exercise. try these things and see what works for you, and if all else fails, go the medical route. but try avoid it. also check the leaflet of the medications you are currently using. some might actually cause skin problems, but consult your practitioner first before deciding to go off of Your meds. if you decide to take meds, try mild anti biotics before going on the retinoids,as they could have severe complications.

Wash your skin everyday, use Moisturizing cream. If you wear make up, make sure you wash it all off before you go to bed. And don't use it excessively.

Hope this helps.

Cleanse with a non-soap based cleanser, tone with non-alcohol based toner and moisturize with sunscreen containing moisturizer. I LOVE the Arbonne line products.
Acne? I wash my face every day/night when I wake up and go to bed. Afterwards at night I use skin cleanser.

Dry hands?

Lotion!
